Habitat Social Positif (HSP): construction and user management of 2 positive energy houses

The Habitat Social Positif - HSP (Positive Social Housing project), which is comprised of two row houses T3 and T4, forms part of a sustainable development project which has brought together various sectors on different levels:  the regional government of Languedoc Roussillon, the municipiality of Castelnaudary who directly involved the lycée Andréossy (technical school for the building trade), the social landlord Habitat Audois as well as a local construction manufacturer (TERREAL).. Read more


Registrations open to H2020 Energy Efficiency Info Day

The Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) organises an Information Day on the energy efficiency funding opportunities for 2017 which will be made available through the Horizon 2020 Energy Efficiency Calls 2017. The Info Day will take place on 19 September 2016 at the Charlemagne Building in Brussels, Belgium. Read more

EURIMA supports MEPs call for urgent action on European buildings 

On 23 June, the European Parliament adopted the Energy Efficency Directive Implementation report and sent a loud and clear message about key role of buildings for the economy, society and future energy system. Read more


Improving the compliance of EPCs  and the quality of building works - QUALICHeCK Booklet 

This report, based on the results of the QUALICHeCK project,  confirms that, although a number of measures have been implemented to drive the market towards Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings, the concern for the compliance of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) -in line with the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (Directive 2010/31/EU)- and building works has been superficial in many Member States.  Read more


Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies 

Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) is a green building certification system for emerging markets. It was created to respond to the need for a measurable solution to prove the financial case for building green and help jumpstart the proliferation of green buildings. EDGE includes complimentary software to empower building professionals to quickly and easily determine the most cost-effective ways to build green, based on occupant behavior, building type, and the local climate. Read more

The Horizon 2020 project ZERO-PLUS aims at the development and implementation of a comprehensive, cost-effective system for Net Zero Energy (NZE) settlements. It  published its report on effective monitoring protocols for the outdoor areas of NZE settlements. Read more
